As others have said, the logic here is just baffling. I do a lot of CE flying plus the occasional long haul, which comfortably gets me about 2k TPs a year. I suspect that I am achieving gold ‘expensively’ as that is quite a lot of expensive CE flights and no double TPs etc. I am exactly the kind of customer that you would think BA would want to keep, but everything about these changes is negative for me. And as for the laughably pathetic avios bonuses for spending huge sums of money with BA… You just couldn’t make it up…
