It’s possible that AmEx might treat all $$ of an individual charge like the first $ or like the last $ of that charge. Given the situation of $49,000 in annual purchases until Nov 30, then nothing else until a $2000 charge on Dec 30, how would points be credited for the $2000 charge? 2000 total MR, seeing the entire charge as being over $50k? 3000 total, seeing $1000 at 2x and $1000 at 1x? 4000 total, seeing the entire charge as being under $50k?
