GCH for 15+ years. Finally got round to catching up, after a busy work year, to read up on the changes. After hitting gold by Dec 8th, I now have to hit 560TP between now March 2025 to requalify.
My work patterns earn around the calendar year. So 2024 I hit 1500 TP around November in time for the end of year (which is how I can neither confirm or deny I calibrate around company budget reset). With the new BA TP harmonisation rejig, I am now being asked to hit 30% of my annual TP, in a period I would have hit barely 5%.
For the first time I am considering a TP run, I would only be even considering it if I wasn't 2-3 years from GFL.
I am looking at a 2 connections each way transatlantic trip to Cali (DUB - LHR - ORD - SJC or similar) to try to hit at least 440 (possibly 460 if the positioning flights from LHR to DUB are OW). Business class throughout (except the positioning flights Y on an seperate PNR)
But the irony here is due to the start and end point being DUB the itinarary is looking like £2K versus £4500.
Cheers BA, but a Middle finger with love

you have a full year , april 1 2024 to march 31 2025 to earn the 1500 Tp
If you fly the same in your short year as you flew in the same months in your final old year you will again get to 1500 tp. If you need 560 tp then that what you flew before april 1st in your final old year. Fly the same flights in the same time period and you will get the same status. You must have flown the 560ntp in that period last year.
I am unclear what the issue is
