GCH for 15+ years. Finally got round to catching up, after a busy work year, to read up on the changes. After hitting gold by Dec 8th, I now have to hit 560TP between now March 2025 to requalify.
My work patterns earn around the calendar year. So 2024 I hit 1500 TP around November in time for the end of year (which is how I can neither confirm or deny I calibrate around company budget reset). With the new BA TP harmonisation rejig, I am now being asked to hit 30% of my annual TP, in a period I would have hit barely 5%.
Not really sure how there is an issue. If you accrue 95% of your TPs in period April to December, then, if you just get exactly 1500 points a year, you would get 1425 anyway by November 2025 leaving only 75TPs to cover
You don't need to do anything between now and March, just get 1500 points between 1st April and when your Gold membership expires at end Jan2026 . Doesn't seem , based on what you described. to be any issue at all to renew Gold without any need to try and waste GBP2000. Worst case, you might have to endure a very brief period of Silver status
