The Thompson/tommie are doing the same thing that the Hyatt Centric Austin did at the beginning of 2024 -- shuttering the chef-owned and run restaurants to open eateries owned and run by the hotels, themselves. (This allows them to give guests points for dining/drink spend, which hadn't been possible when chef-owned.)

As a local, I often enjoyed the happy hour at the Diner Bar, with great prices on oysters and martinis; we'll have to see what the new offerings are.

It looks like the (hotel owned/managed) diner is now open with a breakfast menu that seems to be better vs. the Arriba Abajo menu.
