6 of the 8 seats in Y are immediately behind the curtain so blocked in case the curtain moves. 4 of thd J seats are unoccupied, one blocked in row 1 for Golds

My take is there are currently seats available for 5 to sit in and if, as you have said , the flight us no longer for sale that will remain the case. Your issue is the current cabin config will not allow you to pre select seats
