6 of the 8 seats in Y are immediately behind the curtain so blocked in case the curtain moves. 4 of thd J seats are unoccupied, one blocked in row 1 for Golds

My take is there are currently seats available for 5 to sit in and if, as you have said , the flight us no longer for sale that will remain the case. Your issue is the current cabin config will not allow you to pre select seats

You can see this on expertflyer.com , with a free account you can do 5 seat alert searches a day and see the seat map
