I think you misunderstood. My comment refers to LHR T2 only where boarding pass procurement is done centrally for Star.

That’s why check with SQ station manager in MEL (rather than SQ in SIN) to find out the reason. If it is cost cutting in MEL, fair enough. But by that logic they should have basic ones everywhere. Come back here and let us know what you find out from SQ at MEL. 😊
