I didn’t get this offer either (I got Diamond via another offer) but if I did I’d have likely bought into it as these points would be over and above the annual points buying limit which I’d already exceeded.
Not sure if they did a similar offer last year though.
Perhaps they are testing the waters on what works and doesn’t work in terms of various offers in terms of existing and projected status.
I got a stay 10 nights between October and December and get diamond offer but others didn’t. Earlier this year people got various bonus night offers but I and others didn’t.
