Okay all well I just spent 35 min “arguing” to get in. And not once raised my voice or used a profane word. But the incompetence of these agents is so so so frustrating. 35 min of my life wasted and with such stress.
If John or Liz was here then I would have been let in but the 2 girls were cluelsss and the manager they called I think is just a supervisor and knew nothing
My itinerary:
LAX-DFW 1:30am arriving 6:45am
DFW-HND 1030am JL F
I on very purpose booked the 130am. Even took it over the 11:59pm to avoid the agents trying to say my flight to Dallas leaves the day before my flight to Tokyo (the 11:59pm also would allow access)
So they just kept showing me on their tablet the 6am rule. 40 x they said “your flight must leave to Tokyo before 6am and since it leaves at 1030am we can’t let you in”.
I kept saying “my flight lands tomorrow , it lands the next day, it’s a red eye arriving the next day… the before 6am rule is if I took say the 4pm arriving @ 9pm to DFW then you are absolutely correct I don’t get access unless the international flight leaves before 6am”
Then they went at me with the “well your flight to DFW doesn’t qualify so it doesn’t matter anyways since a Plat doesn’t get into this lounge and your DFW flight doesn’t get you in”.
Of course my reply was “so now are you saying to access this lounge you must be departing on the qualifying flight from LAX?”
So mad and so sick of these absolute incompetent lounge agents. John and Bianca both know this itinerary gets me in !!
Its not fair they deny people who are entitled to use the lounge!
What a way to begin the trip !
I don’t know what’s the correct application of the rules here but tbh if I have JL F on the a350 booked, the Qantas F lounge wouldn’t be what I’d be optimizing for nor stressing over. Now to enjoy that flight 😉
