Putting aside there are only 3+ days left in the year, unless your family travels with you on multiple trips each year, incremental E+ and bags allowance are not worth the tradeoff of spending $1,500 in fares + taxes/fees, and limiting yourself to United, just so you could use those incremental benefits.
