Hello from a UA guy. Trying to help my mom with seat selection for a AA flight of hers next summer.

She is flying MAD ORD on 788 in J, advertised as "Flagship Business." Near as I can tell comparing AA seat map to EF and Aerolopa, she has "Concept D" seating.

From checking here, looks like AA will frequently swap metal T-36 hours?

Is there common wisdom for a preferred seat to shoot for this far out? My UA mind default for 788 is 1A for larger footwell. Which is where I put her for now for this AA flight.

Is 1A good/bad for AA 788?
