I will say I'm slightly surprised there wasn't any late-year incentives advertised to encourage spend beyond $28K or some form of rollover added back - but ultimately I think it's still too soon to see the repercussions of the program changes yet. The next couple of years will see the medallion ranks (hopefully) thin, reserve card sky club visit limits will go into place, and I'm sure a sizable portion of FF'ers will see and feel the changes - those complaining about the changes/cuts currently are the ones most involved (FT'ers, reddit'ers, etc). Let's give it a year or two and revisit to see how things shake out.
From a personal standpoint: my husband and I have shifted more towards "free agent" buying F with whichever carrier has the best price/schedule. Sometimes that's DL, sometimes not. We both still use our DL Plat Amex cards as our primary spending method as we earn a large amount of miles that way - but do cycle some on a CSP for cash back purposes as well.
