Assisted Travelling
Hi all.
Apologies if this isn’t the correct forum but my question crosses over a couple of topics.
My inlaws have booked a cruise via a travel agent They travel from Edi to Miami via Heathrow with BA
The travel agent has supposedly booked assistance. The in-laws have been told that seats would be allocated st checkin (24 hours in advance or pay for it) but it was my understanding (when I booked flights with the inlaws) that once you declare they need assistance, you can get free seat allocation.
I did a dummy buy of seats to find that the flight arrival is 10:15 and the Miami flight depaerure is 11:45. I think that is tight to go through security etc but the flight changes from terminal 5 to 3. So does anyone have experience of getting assistance to change terminals and is it possible in 90 minutes from flight arrival to departure? The inlaws think that it will be the airline’s responsibility to sort if there is a problem if there is a problem with the assistance? Im not convinced!
To summarise my questions are?
Can you get free seat selection?
Is the transfer possible?
My MIL did ask about the cost to upgrade? Has anyone had experience?
Thanks in advance.
