Just a data point. I purchased the deal when it said $800 for 120k. TBH, I was a bit jealous others were receiving a $640 offer. To my surprise, today, I see a refund of $160 on my card that originally posted the $800. I DID NOT use my IHG card for the purchase but am a premier holder. I DID use another Chase card for the purchase if that further adds any clarity.
I didn't reach out to anyone for a price match but guess I got a pretty good Christmas gift!

In order to perhaps help answer some questions, could you kindly advise:
1). When you purchased the points = the transaction date of your purchase; and
2). When the cash back credit appeared in your account = the date it was credited in you account.
