Don't they sell umbrellas in the USA any more? I fear I may be missing the point (in more ways than one).

In a way, the peril of being a bit of six foot means I hope they have banned umbrellas everywhere. I seem to be the worst possible height for them, if I was a bit taller then I'd be over this moving peril machine.
