By the book I think that’s against the rules, but consistent with previous experiences.

They have something going on behind the scenes. Back in September when I was deciding whether to go for the BA Gold extension I asked them if they would let me in before or after (connecting) AA transcon F and they didn’t say straight no, but said it’ll be a lot easier with BA Gold.
