Sorry for incomplete information. Domestic from JFK to CLE. It will be last direct flight from JFK to CLE for the day. All on one ticket with the JL 6 international flight.
I will have two checked bags for sure. The original flight has changed 3 times already and this last change is the worst with a 3 hrs difference. I checked and Japan Airlines arrives into T8 so no need to change Terminal. Will check best way to get to LGA with two luggage just in case I need to.
I wouldn't worry, especially since you're arriving in the morning. I flew to the US on JL6 back in March and JFK is very quiet at that time (zero people in the pre-check line at 11:30am, for example).

Worst case there is an AA LGA-CLE in the afternoon and 2 more DL flights from JFK-CLE in the afternoon as well.
