I've got a stay planned here in March. What's the best way to get to the hotel from either Chiayi Station or Chiayi HSR? Taxi? Rent a car? If renting a car, is there parking at Alishan or do we need to leave the car at the hotel and rely on the hotel shuttles?

The tourist buses don't look like they make stops along the way to Alishan, and at any rate there are some motion sickness concerns with my wife.
