The first Walmart I tried the guy obviously already knows about this. Feel free to elaborate on what specifically I should or shouldn't do and all of course take that advice but You make it seem like there's some tutorial I was supposed to follow and I didn't do it right. All I know so far is one Walmart works fine and the other doesn't.
I think I’ve got some helpful advice for you. Don’t get me wrong, I agree with everyone here. You’re not being subtle enough. But, I also want to help out. So, advice #1. That guy who said “CC guy #5” or whatever he said, but then was super helpful. That guy, he’s your friend. Be nice to that guy, let him help you learn! Advice #2, ok it’s not advice, just some clarification. That $400 one shows up on your Discover card as a single transaction because “that guy” knows what he’s doing and split the payment for you. Means he did a single transaction for $400 and pressed the right buttons to charge it $200 to your first card and 200 to the next card. You got lucky they both went through. Transactions over $99 are hit or miss for Staples bought BHN cards. At the other Walmart, you asked for separate transactions and that’s what you got. That’s all. Advice #3, if anything I’ve said here makes anything less than perfect sense to you, then you’ve got more reading to do.

DM me if you like. I may take a while to answer because I’m on and off, but I do try to be helpful
