Many customers don't "put up with treatment" they take the bull by the horns, select and pay for the seats they want, earn status for the seats, work for an airline whose benefits package include those seats if not occupied. The real question is why you didn't do one of these things to obtain it in advance? Why do you not buy the product you want instead of wonder why others obtained it by means that pertained to them? Why does it matter why another person got something that you didn't get? DO you have a particular skill in listening to crew members instructions and following their direction in the event there is an evacuation emergency, and they are unable to open a door that they have determined needs to be? And the last question, why do you ask the exact same question in 2021 about AA doing the same thing?
