I travel a lot for work and there is a Ritz Carlton in my hometown. One time someone was meeting me in my town and was not staying at the Ritz but suggested we meet in the Lounge there. It appeared that he had a standalone membership to the Lounge? Is that a thing?

If it is, I would be very interested in paying a fee and being able to access the Ritz Carlton Lounge in any city for meetings, etc.

Alternatively, if anyone has a recommendation for another lounge/meeting space that I could look at to get access to in different cities, I would welcome a recommendation. Basically a place to go between meetings or have a meeting that would normally be in a coffee shop or hotel lobby somewhere.
