You don't say whether you have an iPhone or Android. If iPhone, me and many others would recommend that you NOT use the Mobile Suica app, but use the functionality built into iOS. Open the Wallet app, press + to go to Add to Wallet, select Transit Card, scroll down to Japan, and select Suica.
