Update: Trawick did pay my claim within the three weeks (15 business days) that is their standard. So, they are highly rated for a reason, Pricewise, the basic coverage inexpensive as well. Like most insurers, they offered various tiers of coverage. Most people would do best with the basic plans that offer trip interuption, emergency medical expenses of at least 50k, medical evauation in that worst case scenario. Though your mileage will vary. Cost of your policy is based on how much you insure it for based on what you have actually paid - so be realistic on the actual cost of your trip. If you are making a claim for trip interruption, the insurer will want documetation of how much you paid (airfare, non-refundable reservations, etc.)
Perhaps we need a forum for travel insurance? I admit I didn't know much about it, till I actually started to need it and actually file a claim.
