You could check with your employer's travel or human resources department to see if there have been any changes to their Avis contract.
You do not say whether you were utilizing your employer's "business" AWD or "leisure" AWD (some organizations have both). I can tell you that I used to use my alma mater's Avis/Budget leisure AWD for personal rentals (alumni are specifically permitted to use the leisure AWD), but in late 2023, the leisure AWD rates skyrocketed to the point that they are now essentially useless. (The leisure rate used to equal the very favorable business rate, but did not include the insurance that the business rate has.) Don't know whether something similar happened with your corporate leisure rate, but it's possible.
These days, I often find that the AARP rate yields the best deals with Avis/Budget. Even if you're not yet 50, you can still join AARP as an "associate member," and get the AARP discounts. But you should investigate the Avis/Budget AARP rates for the future rentals you expect to book, in order to determine whether the discounts are worth the AARP annual membership fee. (AARP membership fee is going up in 2025.)
