Currently sitting on the apron outside Terminal B at DFW. 5 hour delay before our flight here took off. Originally scheduled for a 1000 departure, 1200 arrival. Landed DFW 1645. Still waiting on a gate to open. After a 30 minute wait, we taxied to what was supposed to be our gate, only to lose it to a plane that had been sitting for two hours.

Connection ex-DFW already rebooked for tomorrow. I made a backup reservation at a hotel in the area but am wondering what options, if any, AA will offer for tonight. Will let you know.

Back in the day, in the Before Time, meal vouchers were also common for irrops. Is that still a reasonable expectation?
