(For a point of reference, I’ve been to D1 at JFK but not LAX, and also QF F at LAX and the old AA FFD at JFK, which I understand was better than the current Chelsea Lounge.)
No issue accessing even though I was leaving from A- TSA did ask to confirm where I was flying to, but I just told them I was at E to use the lounge. Leaving, the Delta staff suggested walking to A and reclearing security vs taking the airside shuttle. Today was an extra quiet travel day, so I walked briskly over to A and was through security in just 15 min,
The food was shockingly good based on my expectations- really restaurant quality, vs lounge quality. And the service was exceptional. Pics below are of the smoked old fashioned; the steak tartare; the daily fish which was a branzino; and the apple tart.
The E SC is, in my opinion, one of the most gorgeous US lounge spaces, and the D1 dining room is even nicer. All in all, a really applaudable execution by Delta here.

Sitting in the SC right now, and it’s definitely way nicer than any SC I’ve been to.
Was chatting with the staff earlier and they mentioned that the delta one lounge is pretty busy most of the time.
I find that extremely surprising given how many eligible flights go out of BOS through the day, could it be a lot of 360 members?
In any case, don’t feel that bad since the main difference is food, but I do feel bad I can’t get the free scotch haha
