No miserable flights for me this year, although LHR-IBZ in Y on BA wasn’t great.
I had one diversion this year... Cape Air going Billings to Glasgow, MT. Diverted to Wolf Point due to weather over the airport. Wolf Point is a town of about 2800 people around 60 miles away. No rental cars. And of course the weather was headed that direction...

Sat in the "terminal" (it is a Cape Air destination too) while the pilots and the agent (who heard the plane call on the radio and drove in from home) figured out a plan. Six of us passengers... two were able to get their rides to come get them as they lived that way anyway. The co-pilot, living in Glasgow, was going to have his wife "drive over in the big truck" to get us. Which really is some above and beyond customer service I must say... Pilots taxied the plane over to the gas pump and added some fuel and said we had a window where it looked promising, so we went from being in the terminal to in the air inside of 5 minutes. Made it into Glasgow.

I almost diverted two weeks ago flying Harrison, AR to DFW on Southern Airways Express (Cessna Grand Caravan). It's a long flight anyway without a bathroom at 2.5 hours... I fell asleep and woke up, noted the time, we should have landed a half hour before. We were in the clouds... phone worked since we were only at like 7000 feet and I could see we had been holding and Flightradar24 said we were diverting to McKinney! No words from the pilots - not that there's really a way other than turning around and trying to yell. We left the hold headed to McKinney but turned and went to DFW. Weather came above minimums barely. Pilot said we were a few seconds from going around and really diverting but made it in. Thankfully my connecting flight to Hot Springs, AR was holding out there with us and landed right behind, late as well.
