The irony is that SAS joining SkyTeam will likely mean that SkyTeam will lose my business. Normally I'd achieve FB Gold in a few months and I'd probably be happy flying with them as such.

But SAS gave me an easy Gold as part of their alliance switch, and *A was happy to match it for the same reason, and so I'm in a situation when I get benefits on *A but not on ST since for most part, ST doesn't recognise SAS status. And as much as I love AFKL, and as much as crap LHG is, travelling a bad airline with a status is better than travelling statusless on a good airline.
