I've drastically scaled back my travel; I flew zero times in 2024 and I see two trips in 2025 and maybe 0-1 in 2026. I'm sitting on 3.2 million miles across various programs (including my Chase and Amex points).
I'd like to take a joyride someplace in F on an A380. I'm based out of LAS, so LAX is convenient.
In conjunction with another trip I'm taking, I found a ticket LHR-IAD-(DCA)-LAS for 87K miles and $750 fees. Nasty routing (overnight in DC) and high fees, but at least it's there and it's not 400K miles.
What's the best way to search for A380F availability across a number of airlines? I once had a program called KVS but I remember having to pay extra to get the really good search features.
Happy to help. DM me if you like.
From LAX your options are:
1. Sydney - Qantas A380 bookable using Qantas miles / cathay miles
2. London - BA A380 First bookable using Avios. Keep in mind fees might be high
3. Middle East - Dubai or other options nearby - or even Bangkok for 2x A380 - Emirates (transfer from AMEX)
4. Etihad A380 - JFK to AUH
5. Singapore (First class, but 777 though)
I love giving ideas for people sitting on a lot of miles with an open itinerary
