All of the replies there are (rightfully) critical of a standard of service that shouldn't belong on a full-service airline, let alone a premium carrier.
Some of the threads here are indeed frivolous whinges, but if OP's account is accurate, this isn't one of them.

I cannot believe that people are finding excuses for this kind of language.
I get that lots of long-term, loyal frequent fliers hold some sort of defensive nostalgia for BA, but the replies here are dismissive, going beyond banter and bordering on bullying.
