AFAIK, no. Maybe you could tip the front desk to hold your luggage as a courtesy, but I don't know if they would agree to this. You should expect to keep your luggage with you.
If you have extra US currency you need to dump before you leave and you will be around in the afternoon, consider taking an Uber/Lyft/taxi to Don Pepe's, a fabulous Italian restaurant. They are cash only and not far from JFK. It is a FlyerTalk favorite.

AFAIK no. I have not heard anything about a Shake Shack coming to T5. It would be an odd addition considering Delta's new partnership with the brand. I did not see anything when I was there last weekend.
