I have always traveled with my own bar soap.. yes it may seem odd. but I cant stand the liquid soap most hotels are leaning towards,
pack the bar in a ziplock bag.. and at the end of my trip.. throw them away..
and of course the other option I use often is to just buy a bar of soap at the destination ..
