I took care of all five $2 credits when the promotion first came out a few months ago, and double dipped with a $10 contactless credit (on single use). My SPG (ahem Marriott) AMEX had a credit balance of (2.9 - 2) * 5 - 10 = 5.5- got a refund check in the mail - thanks!

Also, my mom got a letter from MTA, as she has the senior easy pay MetroCard. That program is sunsetting in March, the letter includes a new OMNY card (with senior discount). No special design nor picture ID - ummm...
