QUOTE=csycsycsy;36756620]AA does MAD-DFW, it's just getting to MAD, if LIS-MAD has irops it's FUBAR as the check in staff don't work for IB and can't do ticketing/anything really. Calling IB as non status is not gonna be fun....

There is no good solution in this no status/nonJ/2 kids/thanksgiving/doesn't speak Spanish problem

Maybe book LIS-MAD-DFW via AA, then at least if IROPS OP can call/twitter AA and the AA counter will be open at LIS for their 11am LIS-PHL.[/QUOTE]

I thought everyone’s advice has been to avoid MAD at all costs?

I looked at the ones you both are recommending for the week before since the timings don’t really change week to week and that flight leaves at 8:20am from Lisbon that would mean getting to the airport by around 5:30am I imagine? AA has 1:20pm Mad-DFW (terminal change 2.15 hour layover). Iberia has 3:20pm flight (4.5hr layover, terminal change)

I think realistically my only options are Boston (delta) or EWR/IAD (United) unless I want to go to Montreal via AC. I realize it’s thanksgiving weekend.

does one have to go through security again in the U.S or just customs? We do have TSA pre check if that makes any difference. I do have cards that give us benefits of getting global entry if that is worth getting and would make a difference, I just have to see how it would work with kids. Since with precheck the kids come with us and automatically get precheck being 6 and 4.

what does NonJ mean? Irops means if there are issues?
