I emailed the Elite team to double check around JFK-AKL, UA marketed / NZ operated, and was told firstly I would earn per the United partner tab.

I emailed back saying there's no option in the partner tab for JFK-AKL, and was told actually this is not eligible for earnings at all.

Meanwhile the app shows J class earn.
