My offer was $900 for the 95,000 points I would need to keep Diamond and I have the legacy Select MasterCard so I suspect that's keeping me from seeing the 20% discount. In any case, the majority of my IHG nights are in Holiday Inn Expresses so no real incentive for me to retain Diamond.
