That's the thing though, Emerald is not owned by Aer Lingus.

It is a completely separate company, which was founded by Conor McCarthy and bid for the Aer Lingus Regional franchise.

Same situation with the previous operator of Aer Lingus Regional, which was Stobart Air - also completely separate and not owned by Aer Lingus.
