I booked an Alaska Air saver roundtrip through Chase Travel using a Chase Sapphire Preferred card. He's sick and can't take the flight.

Should I call Alaska and try to get the 50 percent credit that some get OR call Chase travel? He's not going to be able to provide a doctor note.
