Personally, I have a soft spot for the Hotel d'Angleterre. Not nearly as flash as many of the others, but it is a true boutique hotel with incredible levels of personalised service IMHO. Staff were greeting me by name even before I checked in and my room had personal attentions which suggested they had really done their homework to the point I wondered if they wrongly ascribed me some vip status!! I really like the location too, and it's across the road from the Mouette boats that you can use to freely cross the lake with the Geneva transport card one automatically receives. Breakfast was very much to my taste too, not over the top but with very high quality Swiss products.
