You just did that though? You also don’t seem to understand the terms of the debate, sorry. We are not comparing using an entire bar of soap at home to using an entire container of liquid soap at home and throwing away the packaging on each, we are comparing using a bar of soap 2-3 times and then throwing both it and the packaging away against using a container of liquid hand soap across multiple guest stays that can likely be refilled 100s of times (maybe the pump needs replacing once or twice because it breaks). Show me an article that says using bar soaps
in hotels is more environmentally friendly and I’ll listen.
On your second point on hygiene, fair enough, but the evidence is inconclusive as you say and the experience of using liquid hand soap is just more pleasant in my opinion. Hotels are also much more likely to invest in better quality liquid hand soap than they are bars that get thrown away.
