Personally, I prefer 100 times JFK as entry point than PHL. Immigration isn't that bad, but security for re-entry has always been madness for me. Last time, last year, afternoon arrival, with 1h40 min connection (and it took 10/15 min to pass immigration) we had to exit, walk and change terminal in order to make the flights as the wait at the security point after immigration was probably around 1h30.


Fore those like me that don't have the right passport to apply for Global Entry, the Mobile Passport Control works quite well.
