I am not a Lounge Ladette - I am grateful that they exist and that I can use most of them. I have a very soft spot for Gatwich as it was my base for a long time and have mostly happy memories. I will not be in there for a while but the last time that I was in there - I could not fault it. The staff are far more clued up in comparison with those robots in the Flounge in T5. I do not know who does the catering at LGW but Baxter Storey have managed to reduce T5 to a Curry Palace.

To sit and look out over the tarmac with a glass of Chateau Palmer whilst my beloved scoffs a Burger (the only time that I let him eat them) with a glass of something red - preferably not often Bordeaux - I am usually perfectly content. LGW was never designed for Group Boarding so one knows that beyond the doors of the FLounge madness lies. Best to enjoy the moment and enjoy it I do.
