I split the resv t-72 to push one upgrade for me through as there was J=4 and they couldn't do two. So my resv has me in business with a few seats left and wife and paid child in a separate resv in economy... everything looks normal. They are 1 and 2 on the upgrade list for both prem econ and business.
T-3, one seat open on both bus and premium econ. Wife and kid get leapfrogged on both by a single person. I figure maybe person bought up upgrade.
End up sitting next to one of the people that got upgraded as my wife and kid didn't clear. He said that he was 1K, used 1K instrument, and thought he wasn't going to clear given he was #3 in line but was surprised he leapfrogged the upgrade.
So what happened here? I know wife and kid should have priority given GS instrument and position in the upgrade list, and it would have worked out because my other kid would have been next to me in business. Do they not split and will only upgrade both or none because there is a child?
So it sounds as thought PZ space opened up and not PN space. PN is for GS, and PZ for 1K and below
