Gold Medallions get two free checked bags up to 70 lbs domestically in the US.

Putting in a domestic flight, Basic Economy, Gold Medallion shows 2 70 lb bags.

OP would still receive two free bags even if on a Basic Economy ticket. That said, to utilize most other benefits that come with Gold Medallion, OP would probably not want to book Basic Economy. Booking Basic Economy would result in no MQDs towards retaining status and no Skymiles earned and OP would not be eligible for C+ or First Class upgrades.
