Stayed 3 nights this week.
category 3 pricing at 12k is a decent deal for the cash price of around $300 a night.

welcomed to the hotel and asked if I wanted to check in on the 22nd grand club. Decided to just complete registration on the first floor. Upgraded to what the app showed as King Deluxe View Club Access. There were no suites of any kind available on the app. The hotel was very busy.

Room on the 17th floor. Standard room with a side view of Taipei 101 and a side view of the Sky Taipei tower which will house the Park Hyatt (and maybe the Andaz or the other way around). Room looks relatively renovated and clean. Separate shower and soaking tub. Nice comfortable sofa that can turned into a sleeping bed. Big tv but no casting.

grand club on the 22nd floor is open for breakfast and happy hour. Breakfast is very simple but enough. Globalist also offered cafe breakfast without additional charges. Happy hour here from 530-730p is a zoo. Not just a normal casual zoo, but like a zoo zoo and all of the animal cages are open. Kids running and screaming, crying, yelling. Feels like everyone there is using it as a dinner buffet. I guess it’s similar to the Sheraton, the Courtyard, and the Marriott. If you happen to get a table not next to kids, you should be okay. Service is good in the club and everyone is eager to assist.

breakfast downstairs in the 1st floor cafe is a zoo as well. Took about 10-15 minutes to get a table at 8 and about 15-20 minutes to get a table at 9. Lots and lots of options downstairs. Wide variety of food to choose from.

club oasis was excellent on the 5th floor. Outdoor heated swimming pool. Different fitness rooms with various machines and free weights. The spa is good with a Japanese bathhouse like with hot pool and cold pool, sauna and steam room.

sky bridge connects the Hyatt with Taipei 101 mall next door. Metro is maybe a 5 minute walk to the red line Taipei101/WTC station.

posted in the other thread on Christmas trees but this hotel has the biggest and tallest Christmas tree I’ve seen in a lobby. It’s about 3 stories tall.
