So....Mrs Flying Chef and I are numbers 7-8 on the upgrade list. J is showing 33/40 booked and PE is showing 21/24 booked. 5 hours until departure.
Three questions... 1. What are my chances of getting upgraded to either? 2. Would a couple take priority over a single ? 3. Can one be upgraded to J and the other to PE (we're ok sitting separately) ?

Remember that the upgrade list only shows people who have checked in already. So someone like me, who's SE/Premium CC, doesn't bother checking in until they get to the airport, will wind up ahead of you in line. Also, the other thing to check is the difference between the list for PE and J. The difference is people in PE that are trying to jump to J. When they do that, that will open up seats in PE.
So there's a chance, don't give up hope, but also don't get your hopes up too far.
