I hope you are all keeping well, Christmas can’t be far away as I’ve got my annual help request.

Flying tomorrow LHR to SEA on the morning flight in Club. Return tickets booked eons ago for 200k Avios and £900, using an Amex companion voucher.

I can see 3 Avios seats in First on the afternoon flight. Doing a dummy booking of First out and Club back, shows 380k Avios (without voucher) and £1,575.

So questions are, 1) can I upgrade the outbound by moving to the afternoon flight? 2) Will they take into account the companion voucher? 3) Does £675 + a change fee seem about right?

Seems like a decent price for a leisurely lunch in the CCR room and a nicer 10 hours.
