Had you not added the reservations back to your account, I would venture to say you would have to add it at the desk, else you would not get your benefits.

Still such disappearing act does create confusion and panic when you discover your reservations booked the day before no longer listed in My Trips.

Normally I dont look at My Trips much once I receive confirmation emails. However this is a particularly long 7 weeks RTW trip 3 months from now involving lots of bookings including many lodgings outside chains due to there is no chain properties in places visiting. The details of the trip are evolving to say the least.

The logistics on the whole thing are a bit daunting not just for lodging but also the frequent schedule changes from airlines. This afternoon got yet another notice from BA on a schedule change which has been the 4th time. The BA Cityflyer regional that serves EU-UK hops keeps changing its schedule - it could have different departure time on every single day of the week, with variance as big as 2 hours difference. AA does the same thing to me on my US-LHR flight. The last thing I need is hotel reservations suddenly vanish!
I only noticed that it disappeared the day before arrival. I don't check daily, though - usually, I check weekly. It did not seem to disappear after that, but the timeframe of 24 hours was quite short.
