It shouldn't have any impact as both have completely different clientele and completely different price point

I agree they do serve different purposes, and now Hyatt has an offering for members to have a fun vacation on the Strip without needing a car to get anywhere exciting. Vegas prices are really all over the place though; I got a room at Venetian for a couple of weeknights in October at the Venetian for ~$90/nt (after taxes, before resort fees) on Hotwire. While I don't think they'll offer rooms at those prices on more transparent booking channels, there's a good chance of finding deals on off-season weeknights.
Not really, lowest I have seen is $150, and that's before taxes, that's even more than Cosmo, Bellagio, and Aria, there are properties just wouldn't go down below a certain price point, Venetian is one, Wynn is the other, neither offer any kind of deals no matter how dead they are
